Job Description: Fundraising and Sponsorship Coordinator

 

About Us
Christmas Day at the Greeno is a small, community-focused charity dedicated to providing a full  Christmas Day programme at the Greeno Centre including a full three course lunch with presents and gifts for those in Shepperton and surrounding area. (We are independent of the Greeno Centre.)
We rely on a small team of trustees and volunteers to organise the event, source all goods and services, and help out on Christmas Day.
 

Role Purpose

The fundraising and sponsorship coordinator is responsible for raising funds for the charity.
 

Key Responsibilities
•    Attend team leader meetings
•    Apply for grants from bodies if deemed appropriate by trustees
•    Approach previous donors if they have not already contributed this year
•    Organise and run the annual street collection
•    Organise the Just Giving page to garner donations online
•    Seek sponsorship from individuals or local companies or organisations for certain aspects of the day, e.g. the wine, desserts, certain items in the gift bags.

 

Person Specification
We are looking for people who:
•    Are willing to devote the necessary time and effort
•    Are well organised and are confident applying for funding from other organisations
•    Are willing to run a street collection stall in December
