Job Description: Setup and clean up team leader

 

About Us
Christmas Day at the Greeno is a small, community-focused charity dedicated to providing a full Christmas Day programme at the Greeno Centre including a full three course lunch with presents and gifts for those in Shepperton and surrounding area. (We are independent of the Greeno Centre.)
We rely on a small team of trustees and volunteers to organise the event, source all goods and services, and help out on Christmas Day.
 

Role Purpose

The Set up and Clear up team leader manages the setting up of the centre on Christmas Eve, and the clear up at the end of Christmas Day, in conjunction with the centre team lead.

 

General
Prior to the day
•    Attend organisation team meetings (October/November/December)
•    Work with the Team Leader co-ordinator to lead team briefings (in December)
On the day
•    Identify tasks in their remit and allocate them to suitable team member
•    Liaise with Team Leader co-ordinator and Volunteer co-ordinator if extra resource is needed for a specific task
•    Be aware of policies and procedures and ensure they are followed, especially safeguarding of both guests and volunteers
•    Anticipate potential issues and act to prevent or mitigate them
•    Be mindful of guest and team members’ welfare 

 

Key Tasks
•    Must attend at the start on Christmas Eve when we first get into the centre (usually around lunchtime)
•    Must also be around when we close up on Christmas Day
•    Use the check list to direct the team to perform all the required tasks
•    Prior to exiting on Christmas Day, walk round the centre checking everything is back to how it was and everything is clean
